Dr. Ajithkumar V K,
Dr. Jabir A,
Dr. K U Natarajan,
It’s changing time and surely enough, for better, the future of Interventional Cardiology in India looks bright, the evidence is that we received nearly 750 CD submissions from the country, the response was overwhelming and it just shows the enthusiasm of the young turks, and with the show, it’s not too far that we as a group will lead from the very soon.
The scientific program in 2014 has been changed and tweaked and twisted based on National Survey done a few months back. So the entire content is according to just your choices.
We tried to include more and more cases as the response from the survey showed that the popular choice was to have more and more case presentations. The quality of cases is phenomenal and the ideas have been truly original and mind boggling. Hence nearly 450 cases will be presented during the less than 3 days of the meeting. To include more cases we have developed an e-CD format, which showcases these beautiful pieces of art and science, loaded for all the 3 days. So come one and come all and enjoy these Theme Based Cases.
There are 5 continuous halls running from 12 noon on 25th till 2 PM on 27th afternoon showcasing different choices in different rooms :
Hall –A is the Main Arena and shows: The Top most operators doing cases from India and abroad. There are no didactic lectures, but 3 main categories of presentations:-
HOT CONTROVERSIES WITH POINT OF VIEWS on same topic by 4 presenters at the same time, HOW I DID IT SESSION, Game Changing Trials which have brought in or thrown out a technology and the “Latest Technology Sessions” – Hope you will like it.
There are 2 major hubs- One Coronary – showing a medley of top cases done in India and the other Peripheral and Structural Heart – sharing tremendous cases interspersed with Basic discussions, so that the uninitiated can also start these interventions, on going back.
There are learning opportunities for both the BIG BOYS- in “Advanced Learning College” (Hall E) and the younger colleagues in “SCAI School of Learning” (Hall D).
Still, if you are left with questions and clarifications in your mind, look no further and head to Hall F (Problem Solving Hall) where a small group of 8-10 presenters will discuss the intricacies of a case with National and International experts.
I think, this will be enough to keep you charged, engaged and excited for the 3 days, but when you are tired at the end, we have an evening of relaxation , chit chat and more friendship on both the days – 25th and 26th.
So, looking forward to see you all very soon.
So, come on in and show off, share, exchange, teach and learn in this unique meeting of the CSI.
I am sure each one of you will go back with some more learning, some new techniques and some new ideas to help treat your patients better.
Thank you in advance for coming over and making NIC a success.
